  • Drawing from personal experience, delivered seminars on study skills such as time management, exam techniques, and motivational strategies to upper secondary school students

  • Supervised and enforced government regulations and company protocols surrounding COVID-19, ensuring participants’ and staff welfare and safety

  • Independently designed and conducted research identifying and evaluating policies on supporting incarcerated parents in four European nations 

  • Gathered and analysed large amounts of literature and data, compiling all findings and recommendations in a 14,000-word comparative policy review

RESEARCH AND COMMISSIONING INTERN   |  SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL   |    AUG 2018 - FEB 2019

  • Appraised and prepared an audit report on the county’s Youth Justice Case Management to identify best practices and gaps for improvement, presenting said report to upper management for consideration and action

  • Reviewed and prepared analytical reports on the county’s Youth Restorative Interventions and Appropriate Adults, used to assess programme implementation against council policy in preparation for an inspection by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probations

  • Researched and designed a screening tool for the Edge of Care Team—hailed as 'fantastic' work well beyond expectations—allowing practitioners to refer only relevant cases, thereby streamlining operations and reducing team workload

  • Authored a feedback form and two differently tailored versions of an information booklet for the county's Youth Reparation Scheme, for internal and external dissemination

  • Excelled as an ALS Worker for LEAP - an educational and life-skills programme to support, mentor, and protect at-risk, out-of-school, and unemployed youth, most of whom had mental or behavioural disorders, histories of alcohol or drug abuse, were involved with Children’s Services, and/or in conflict with the law

  • Reviewed, formatted, and edited multiple Youth Justice Policy documents

  • Assisted departmental heads and provided administrative, technical, and operational support to the Children, Schools, and Families Directorate countywide
